- Update internals to wxWidgets 2.9 at any rate what you're doing is how i started out as well. i would still consider the windows route once you get this going. EOS utility does work but it's a lot easier to use a capture program that can give intelligent names to the files. Get at App Store AstroDSLR (Mac OS X, payware, free trial) I must say that I have two problems which I reported to Cloud Makers: #include stdio.h> #include "openssag.h" int main() { OpenSSAG::SSAG *camera = new OpenSSAG::SSAG(); if (camera->Connect()) { struct raw_image *image = camera->Expose(1000); FILE *fp = fopen("image", "w"); fwrite(image->data, 1, image->width * image->height, fp); fclose(fp); camera->Disconnect(); } else { printf("Could not find StarShoot Autoguider\n"); } } Thanks for the reply. That image looks pretty nice I think. What exactly is pulse guiding? Is that when you've got the mount and camera both plugged into your computer and PHD is communicating directly with the mount instead of using the camera as a middle-man? What exactly does the name "pulse" imply? - Opticstar PL-130 and Meade DSI III support added (Opticstar is on Windows only) I'm thinking about one of the entry level ZWO Cameras (likely a 178MC) to "dabble" in Lunar and Planetary AP with my TEC 6 f/12 MC. I have a MacBook Pro running Sierra. Although I do have a old PC laptop [Windows 7 Pro] my goal is to use my Mac exclusively. Are there others who are doing this that could share what Mac software combinations you have found to be user friendly, compatible and somewhat simple i.e. not a long, steep learning curve? How comprehensive is the Mac software offered with the ZWO cameras? EqmodGui is a user interface for Linux INDI Eqmod telescope driver.
